Number of Seats on International Air Lines of Russia Goes Up 11%

New international flights have been added to the schedule of the Moscow airports in 2014, said Marketing Director of Domodedovo Aiport Aleksey Yarosh during the forum ‘Tourist Routes. Autumn 2014–Winter 2015’.

According to him, UTair has been conducting 1 flight a week to Hévíz-Balaton Airport (Hungary) since March 23, Flydubai will be servicing 7 flights a week to Dubai starting September 23, S7 has been providing 3 flight a week from Domodedovo Airport to Paphos since April 26, and next it is going to take up Athens (1 flight a week). Flights from Sheremetyevo Airport to Antalya, serviced by Onur Air, started on April 26 (7 flights a week).

The expert said that the total carriage volume on international destinations of the Moscow airports amounted to about 116 thousand seats in 2012, tour operators’ own carriage taking up 7% of that number. In 2013, the number of seats grew 11% (128.5 thousand), and the share of tour operators’ own carriage was 10%.
